not in our stars, but in ourselves
After a long day at work, a crummy workout at the gym, and waiting until 8:30 to get my dinner because I would have had to walk through the living room to do so – thus interrupting my housemates, who were watching Game of Thrones, and I understand something big happened this week, though I neither know nor want to know what it was – I found out something that makes nearly everything else dissipate.
IT’S QUENTIN TARANTINO WEEKEND AT THE BRATTLE!
That’s right, kids. If you are even remotely within striking distance of the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, you should hie thee to any of the double features playing from Friday through Sunday. You can get more details on the Brattle website, and see what else is playing, but here’s the gist.
5:00 and 10:00 – Foxy Brown (1974)
7:00 – Jackie Brown (1997)
1:15 and 6:45 – Django Unchained (2012)
4:30 and 10:00 – The Mercenary (1968)
12:00 and 6:00 – The Dirty Dozen (1967)
3:00 and 9:00 – Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Well, my weekend is set. I have a hot date with QT every night. See some of you suckers there, I hope.
